I’m turning the big 3-0 on the 11th of this month. Turning 30 is kind of a big deal! How Writing a Check Helped Me Get to My Pre-Baby Weight

There are some women that have babies and a week later they are back to their pre-baby weight. Unfortunately, I wasn’t one of those moms…not with the first, second, or third pregnancy. After each pregnancy, it got harder and harder. When Dustin and I found out we were having twins I just felt like that there was no possible way I would ever get back to looking like the “old” me. The thought of me wearing a bikini again had been long gone and I kissed those days goodbye. I was a mom. This was my purpose and my body had taken the biggest toll from having 4 babies in less than 4 years.

It wasn’t until last year when I slept trained the twins that I caught a glimpse of feeling “normal” again. I was able to sleep in my bed for a full night instead of sleeping in the twin’s room on the floor. With that, I began to work out. I’m pretty sure I worked out for maybe 15 days or so before I stopped. I could make excuses all day about why I stopped (i.e. time, tired, etc.) It was easier to just not do it. To not have to think about what I was eating or when I was going to work out. Because heck I had 4 kids…that was a good excuse to me!CONTINUE READING
