How Writing a Check Helped Me Get to My Pre-Baby Weight

April 27, 2017

There are some women that have babies and a week later they are back to their pre-baby weight. Unfortunately, I wasn’t one of those moms…not with the first, second, or third pregnancy. After each pregnancy, it got harder and harder. When Dustin and I found out we were having twins I just felt like that there was no possible way I would ever get back to looking like the “old” me. The thought of me wearing a bikini again had been long gone and I kissed those days goodbye. I was a mom. This was my purpose and my body had taken the biggest toll from having 4 babies in less than 4 years.

It wasn’t until last year when I slept trained the twins that I caught a glimpse of feeling “normal” again. I was able to sleep in my bed for a full night instead of sleeping in the twin’s room on the floor. With that, I began to work out. I’m pretty sure I worked out for maybe 15 days or so before I stopped. I could make excuses all day about why I stopped (i.e. time, tired, etc.) It was easier to just not do it. To not have to think about what I was eating or when I was going to work out. Because heck I had 4 kids…that was a good excuse to me!CONTINUE READING

Conquering Clutter: Final Week and Results!

April 6, 2017

Week 6 of our conquering clutter challenge was guest bedroom/office! If you are new to our challenge check out the following posts:

Week 1: Kitchen

 Week 2: The Living Room

Week 3: Bedrooms

Week 4: Closets

Week 5: Bathrooms and Utility Room

Week 6: Guest Room/Office

The final week has come upon us and it couldn’t have worked out better. Since it was Spring Break Elise and Luke went to Dustin’s parent’s house for the week leaving us with two kiddos! Dustin and I were able to put the twins to bed at 8:00 pm every night and were able to work on garage sale items a couple of hours for 3 nights. This was a huge help since the last garage sale we ended up pricing everything the night before. No fun!CONTINUE READING
